Bob’s education includes Bachelor of Commerce (Finance), Masters’ in Business Administration and Law degrees. He practiced corporate law at an international firm before starting on the Petwin journey in 2000. Over the years he assembled a collection of apartment, office, industrial and development land properties in Canada and the United States. He also set up an organization who could internally manage the properties and effectively service the tenants who live, operate businesses or otherwise depend on them.
Once the properties organization was established, Bob founded Petwin Bancorp Inc. to oversee the allocation of investments to all asset classes that Petwin invests in. Petwin Bancorp’s private equity initiative brings resources, governance and enhanced strategic planning to select portfolio companies through private equity investment. Bob acts as Petwin’s chief investment officer overseeing the allocation of resources to all asset classes that Petwin invests in.
Bob has over 15 years of Board governance experience as a director on corporate boards including Cooperators Insurance, Alberta Central, Connect First Credit Union and The University of Calgary. He holds the ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors and has significant experience in strategic planning and capital allocation to support the growth of Petwin’s properties and investee companies.
