Mike is responsible for deal sourcing, diligence, and execution and providing strategic and operational support for the team at Petwin Private Equity and our investment partners.

Mike is a lifelong Calgarian with three young children. He is a 3rd generation chartered accountant and a previous Chair of the Board for Lindsay Park Sports Society and is a current board member of the Chartered Business Valuators Institute (CBV Institute).

EBITDA between $2MM and $5MM, with a track record of stability
High cash conversion from EBITDA
Ability to service a reasonable amount of leverage
Some degree of revenue certainty (either recurring, contractual, or historical)

Strong management team who will remain post-closing and are interested in paths towards equity interests
Some form of “secret sauce” that provides a competitive advantage
Some ability for Petwin to add value via professionalization and process improvements

Generally agnostic but less inclined to pursue real estate/ construction related businesses given existing business exposure
Business-to-business preferred
Ideally, one that has limited disruption risk, or where the disruption risk is known/underway
Possibility for consolidation/bolt-on acquisitions

Petwin will not consider opportunities when:

The target business is resource extraction, cannabis, and start-up/early stage businesses
No existing management team in place or a lack of cultural alignment between Petwin and the management team
